REVIEW EXPORTS DURING 2011-12 (APRIL-DECEMBER)
According to the provisional data available the exports of Handicrafts have shown an increase of `381.78 crores, from `1395.58 to `1777.36 crores, an increase of 27.36% in rupees term. In dollar terms, the exports have shown the increase of US$ 29.09 millions i.e. the exports increased by 9.40% over the similar month in 2010. Details are as under: -

During the period, the exports of Art Metalware, Woodware, Hand printed Textiles & Scarves, Embroidered & Crocheted Goods, Shawls as artwares,  Zari & Zari goods, Imitation jewellery & Misc. Handicrafts showed the increasing trend of 20.31%, 122.10%, 21.35%, 8.44%, 51.23%, 10.74%, 42.58% & 57.57% in rupees terms respectively  and 3.38%, 90.69%, 4.25%, 29.91%, 22.57%, & 35.35% but decreased in Embroidered & Crocheted Goods, Zari & Zari Goods are in 6.85% and 4.93% in us$ term respectively. Overall an increase in the rupee term was 27.36% and in the US $ term was 9.40%.
REVIEW EXPORTS DURING 2010-11 (APRIL - MARCH)
According to the provisional data available the exports of Handicrafts have shown an increase of `1815.02 crores, from `8718.94 to `10533.96 crores, an increase of 20.82% in rupees term. In dollar terms, the exports have shown the increase of US $ 471.29 millions i.e. the exports increased by 25.75 % over the similar period in 2009- 2010. Details are as under: -

During the period, the exports of Art Metalware, Wood wares, Hand printed Textiles & Scarves, Embroidered & Crochetted goods, Shawls as artwares, Zari & Zari goods, Immitation Jewellery and Misc. Handicrafts showed a increasing trend of 17.16%, 42.36%, 19.17%, 14.54%, 38.14%, 16.95%, 46.26% and 24.82% in rupees terms respectively and 21.95%, 48.17%, 24.04%, 19.22%, 43.75%, 21.71%, 52.21% and 29.91% in us$ term respectively. Overall an increase in the rupee term was 20.82% and in the US $ term was 25.75%.
