In RoDTEP is a new scheme to replace the existing MEIS scheme for exports of goods from India, which aims to reimburse the taxes and duties incurred by exporters such as local taxes, coal cess, mandi tax, electricity duties and fuel used for transportation, which are not getting exempted or refunded under any other existing scheme. The rebate would be claimed as a percentage of the Freight on Board (FOB) value of exports. The Indian government has recently approved this scheme and will be notified in a phased manner and accordingly Items will be shifted from existing scheme MEIS to RoDTEP with proper monitoring & audit mechanism. A selection of 40 artisans (20 artisans in each batch) of Metal Craft (Engraving) - Moradabad, Hand Embroidery - Bareilly, Lambani Embroidery - Sandur, Bellary District, Karnataka, Traditional Hand Embroidery - Saharanpur, was organised for 2 batches of 48 days Handicrafts Technical Training Program for artisans of SC category and selection of 40 artisans (20 artisans in each batch) was organised for 2 batches of 52 days Handicrafts Technical Training Program in Woodware (Engraving / Carving / Etching) for artisans of general category. Batch of 20 ST category artisans selected for each craft, Thiba, Birbhum, West Bengal, 23rd September 2020 - Metal Crafts and Fashion Jewellery. 15 days Skill Development Programs in Rajasthan conclude Certificate Distribution among highlights at closing ceremony; Leather Craft Cluster - Barmer and Hand Embroidery Cluster - Jaisalmer on 24th September 2020....more
